in Montreal in 1901. A nurse by profession, she first worked in various missions located in the United States and western Canada. Her admin- istrative talents enabled her to hold high offices in her Order. She became Superior General of the Order and filled the position from 1935 to 1946°’.

A religious vocation was a very honourable estate for all good Catholics. Any family who gave a nun, a priest or a brother to the Church and the community was highly respected. Families who had aroused several religious callings amongst their children were held up as an example.
