Charlottetown, P.E.I. July 6th, 1925. Conforming with announcement made by Rev.W.M.Ryan from the pulpit on Sunday, 5th instant, a meeting of the Stewards of the United Church of Canada at Charlottetown, was held in the basement of the Church at 7. 30 P. M. today — The following Stewards were present - R. E. Mutch, Dr.H. D. Johnson, 3. A. McDonald, G. H. Holbrook, H. Craswell, P. Turner, 3. Hardy, E. T. Higgs, Isaac Carter, Wm. Rowe, Alfred Pickard, E. S. Coffin, Dr.J. C.Houston, R. H. Rogers, Alexander McLeod, G. A. Hughes. Mr. R.E.Mutch was appointed Chairman, and the undersigned, Secretary. The Chairman explained that this meeting was called for the purpose ;of organization, and the election of officers for the current year. After considerable discussion in regard to the number of officers required etc., it was decided that there should be a Chairman, Treas— urer, Recording Steward, Financial Steward and Assistant Financial Steward. Moved by R.H.Rogers, and seconded by Dr.H.D.Johnson, that a committee of four Stewards be named to retire and nominate Stewards to fill the above mentioned positions. Messrs. Wm. Rowe, B. Turner, S.A. McDonald, and H.0raswell were-appointed on this committee. After cons lting they reported and recommended the following Stewards as officgrs :— R.E.Mutch - Chairman R.H.Rogers - Recording Steward. G.A.Hughes — Financial " Alex McLeod— Assistant Financial Steward. E.T.H1ggs - Treasurer. All of whom were unanimously elected, the latter appointment to be submitted to the Members of the Session for confirmation. After some informal conversation in regard to financial matters, all attending the meeting was requested by the Rev.Mr.Ryan to adjourn and meet the members of the Session in the Heartz Memorial Hall.
