At the regular monthly meeting of the Committee of Stewards, Trinity United Church held in the Board Room on Sept. 17th 1934 the following members were present. Col. H. M. Davison, G. A. Hughes, Isaac Carter, R. H. Rogers, Alex McLeod, A. C. Sinclair, E. T. Higgs, E. S. Coffin, J. P. Simmonds, N. W. Lowther, A. Pickard, J. F. Whear, Dr. Carson and the Secretary.
The Minister, Rev. Hugh Miller on being introduced by the Chairman, spoke briefly expressing his pleasure at being present, and eXpressed his desire to co-operate.
Mr. Pickard for Property Committee stated tenders had been called for painting certain wood work in the Patbonage, and that the lowest tender, that of Fred Waller, Was accepted. He also read a letter from Messrs. Stanley Shaw & Peardon re radiators in basement rooms in Heartz Hall, quoting a price of 375.00 for installing one radiator twenty-seven square feet in one room, and one radiator forty-five square feet in the other. They also quoted a price of $85.00 to cOVer all steam pipes in unfinished portion of basement. Mr. Pickard was authorized to obtain other tenders, and have the work completed according to his own judgement.
Mr. Higgs for Fuel Committee reported purchase of three loads of coal, and moved that two carloads Springhill Coal be ordered‘ . Pickard & Company at once.
It was moved seconded and carried that an electric hell he installed in the Parsonage, also a light on the Veranda.
Mr.Sinc1air for Radio Committee said Mr. Burke had re- ported some slight trouble, but that it was now corrected.
The following bills were ordered paid.
