At the regular monthly meeting of the Committee of Stewards, Trinity United Church held in the Board Room on Oct. 15th the following members were present. Col. H. M. Dayison, G. A. Hughes. A. Pickard, Isaac Carter, Alex McLeod, H. Cudmore, d. T. Higgs, J. F. Whear, A. C. Sinclair, Major J. A. McKenzie, R. H. Rogers, Dr. Carson. Minutes of meeting of Sept. 17th 1934 read and approved. A letter was read from Dr. C. C. Archibald, Sec‘y of Sunday School, reQuesting purchase of one hundred Hymn Books for use of Sunday School. It was moved by Mr. Whear and seconded by Mr. Carter that the letter be referred to a special Committee of three, to inquire into this matter and report back. Motion carried. Messrs. Whear, Carter and Higgs Were appointed on the Committee. l A letter was read rom S. T. Green requesting payment of an account for printing oi culars inviting students to the Church, and postage amounting to $3.90. It was moved by Mr. Higgs and seconded by Mr. Pickard that the bill be paid. Carried. It was moved by Mr. Higgs and seconded by Mr. Rogers that one thousand letter heads be ordered from the Patriot Publishing Company for use of Ministers, the Chairman to consult with - ‘ Ministers before giving order. Carried. ' An account of Chappell & Company for installing bell in parsonage etc. $6.45 was ordered paid. , Mr. Pickard reported for Building Committee-That heating ? ’ of Heartz Memorial Hall as requested by Sunday School, had ; been completed satisfactorily by Bruce Stewart & Company- also that Radiator in Parsonage had been moved from attic to maid‘s room. Total cost $58.00. Mr. Higgs reported purchase of two carloads of coal of $562.73 and moved payment for one car in November and the other car before the end of the year. Carried. . Major McKenzie reported he had instructed Janitor to get L neCessary light bulbs. Mr. Whear reported for Publicity Committee that Rev. Mr. Barbour had requested a supply of record cards. It was moved by Mr. Higgs, seconded by Mr. Pickard that Mr. Whear procure the Cards as requested. Carried. Mr. Whear reported a deficit of $1451.00 with all accounts paid to date except those ordered paid by this meeting. It was moved and seconded that Mr. C. A. Hughes be appointed .to countersign cheques in the place of the Chairman during his x absence. Carried.
