September 12,1955 The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Stewards, Trinity United Church, Charlottetown, was held in the Board Room at 7.50 p. m., Monday, September 12th, 1955. ‘ Col. H. M. Davison in the chair. Secretary absent. Members present:- R. E. Mutch E. T. Higgs A. Sinclair A. Heartz A. MacLeod W. Brenton J. F. Whear H. Cudmore A. Pickard C. Smith G. A. Hughes Rev. Mr. Barbour G. A. Hughes acted as Secretary. Minutes of meeting held on Monday, August 12, 1955 read and on motion were adopted as read. Reports of Committees:- Finance—Mr. Mutch stated circulars has been sent out to a number of contributors requesting a portion of their intended contribution, and a few had responded. Mr. Davison stated some names given him to call on and he would attend to same soon as possible. Property-Mr. Pickard reported property in good condition, furnaces required some attention, this would be attended to shortly. w y..- _|. Fuel-Mr. Higgs presented a bill from A.Pickard & 00., $16.71, and asked permission to purchase a car of coal. Janitor—00mmittee absent , no report received. Radio-Nothing special to report. Matter left with Mr. Mutch and Mr. Whear to adjust. Some discussion re Hearts Hall light, Mr. Mutch stated would look into the matter. A discussion followed regarding Mr. Harboush having use of Heartz Hall free of charge. As the Willing Circle of Kings Daughters issued tickets in connection with the meeting, decided no further action be taken. Rev. Mr. Barbour addressed the meeting in regard to additional class rooms for the Sunday School, short of rooms:-suggested the toilet rooms in Heartz Hall be taken out and one class room erected instead, he also advised that it was very necessary to make some improvements in the way of enlarging the present school room or erecting other rooms in the buildings somewhere or otherwise we would be very liable to loose a number of our Scholars. Some are now attending other Churches in the City. Mr. Pickard explained how the toilet rooms and pipes were located. Mr. Hutch stated matter should be brbught to the attention of the Trustee Board before any- thing was done, decided to look over the property and take matter to Trustee board. A.
