The regular monthly meeting of the board of Stewards was held in the board room, Monday, April 15th, 1956, at 7.50 P.M.
Mr. R. E. Mutch was in the chair.

Dr. Ways the Secretary was absent so G. A. hughes was requested to act as Secretary. Minutes of meeting held on Monday, March 9th, 1956 were read and adopted.
Report of committees:- FUel-Mr. Mutch reported Chairman Carter who was absent, stated to him, sufficient coal on hand to do heating until the Fall. Estimate for year supply of coal $1,000.00
PrOperty—A. Pickard reported, nothing done since last meeting, Mr. Bard ordered to do repairs to ceiling of board room and a number of other repairs and improv- ements would have to be done during the Summer.
Publicity-Mr. Whear presented bills for advertising in Guardian and Patriot and stated that it was necessary to maintain the advertising in these papers.
Light—C. Smith reported lights in Heartz Hall had been taken down and replaced by new lamps and shades, it was understood that the Ladies Aid would pay one- half the cost and the Stewards the other half. Some discussion re lights to show up stained glass windows in Church, cost of wiring would be done by Mr.
Chappell free of charge.
Janitor-E. Coffin reported Heartz Hall required cleaning and that rooms in the Kindergarten might be painted a buff color and the Social Hall cleaned and scrubbed for a total of $80.00. Choir room should be cleaned and painted, estimate for year $150.00.
Radio-Mr. MacKenzie submitted a report on the Broadcasting, interviewed Mr. Gesner (C.H.C.K.) and he named the following charge for service. "One broadcast each Sunday $5.00 per service, cost of installing telephones $5.00 also tele— phone connection 82.50 per month." Interviewed Mr. Burke,"he would broadcast one service each Sunday for the balance of the year 1956, using C.F.C.Y. station at the rate of $150.00 per year." (report and letters on file) After considerable discussion it was moved by A. Pickard and seconded by E. Coffin "That the offer made by Mr. Burke be accepted for the broadcasting for the balance of the year 1956 at a rate of $150.00 per year. Motion carried.
