November 9, 1956 The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Stewards, Trinity United Church, was held in the board room Monday evening, November 9th, 1936, at 7.50 P.h. The chairman h. L. Mutch presided. The minutes of the ,revious meeting were read and adopted.

On invitation Rev. Mr. macKenzie addressed the board, requesting that bulletins of the services be issued on Sundays, at least for the balance of the year.

The cost for printing same would be:-

Irwin Printing Co--6OO copies-eight weeks ----- $4.50 per week

Patriot " " " " " $50.00

After considerable discussion it was decided to give the bulletin system a trial, Irwin Printing Co. to do the work. Also it was decided to con- tinue the publication of meetings in the daily papers. Mr. Carter moved bulletins be issued and printed by Irwin Printing Co, for balance of year. Seconded by A. Sinclair. Carried.

Er. C. H. Black presented an excrept from minutes of official board meeting of April 15th, 1956, re Ministers Emergency Fund. The board recommended that a special collection should be made to raise necessary funds. '

It was decided to referr the matter relative to fixing locks on doors in basement to the official board and recommend that Mr. Storey attend to necessary repairs.

Radio—Major MacKenzie-Bill from C. F. C. Y. $25.00 for broadcasting for August and September 1956. Ordered paid. The chairman of this committee presented a letter from Mr. B. J. Cleland, Truro, in which this gentleman expressed the pleasure and benefit he had received from listening to the broadcast from Trinity United Church. As a mark of appreciation he enclosed 85.00, and stated that it Was his intention to make an annual contribution of 8100.00. The secretary was instnucted to write

A letter from the Patriot Publishing 00., was read by secretary, re reduction in rate for printing Sunday notices. Accepted by board.

Mr. Riggs stated that fire insurance would be due this month and some changes were necessary relative to placing same. He was instructed to attend

to this item.

Mr Carter presented to thefboard a framed picture of the interior of the Church and setting forth the hours of services. It was Mr. Carters intensicn to have the picture placed in the C. N. R. Hotel, but on investigation he learned

permission could not be granted. It was moved by E. T. Higge that Mr. Carter be extended the thanks

of the board for his contribution of the picture, seconded by R. R. Bell. Carried.
