The Committee of Stewards and the Missionary and Maintenance Committee now give you the third quarterly report. We have endeavoured during the year to keep you posted wity the workings of your Church as far as our Committee are concerned.

We thank you very much for the kind and full co-operation you have given us. [The summer holidays are now over and we are entering our final quarter. It will be greatly ailpl‘e' ciated if you will continue your co-operation and endeavour to have everything up to date at end of the year. If you can possibly see your way clear to increase any amount that you may have definitely promised for this year or for anyone to enlarge the voluntary yearly subscriptions given us in the past we can only assure you that these are all urgently needed.

You will see from the report of the Property Committee the special extra expense we have had this year and this work was absolutely necessary, as it would have been dangerous to

leave it not done.

Your Property Committee report a considerable amOunt of work done on outside of Church. Very many bricks on sides were loose and broken and had to be replaced and pointed.

Large windows had to be renetted; work done on the roof and extensive repairs to the buttresses on the south side of the building.

Considerable work was also necessary on Heartz Hall where many days had to be spent not only-in repairing the brickwork but also on the valleys and gutters.

The turrets in front of the Church were unsafe and had to be repaired, and for future ‘

safety it was thought best to have same closed in.

All these, with other minor repairs, have made it a heavy year on our finances hence our special appeal to you at this time.

Below we give you the amount kindly pledged and the amount received to the end of the third quarter. Should there be any errors or omissions would you please advise us.
