The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Stewards of Trinity United Church was held in the Board Room Monday evening June 13th. at 7.30 P.M. The Chairman Mr. R.E.Mutch presided and the following stewards were in their places: Messrs. G.A.Hughes, Claude Smith, A. Pickard, Gordon Avard, Reg. Taylor, Hibbert Howatt, Reuel LePage, Fred Chappell, A. B. Fisher, Norman Lowther and J. A. MacNair. There were nine mem- bers absent. The Minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted. The follow- ing bills having been certified as correct by the Chairmen of Committees. were on motion ordered to be paid: Maritime Electric Co. Ltd. $23.70 Chappell & Co. 2.10 R. E. Mutch 1.80 Rogers Hardware 2.80 J. D. Taylor 5.00 Ch'Town Branch British & Foreign Bible Society 8.9 Patriot Publishing Co. (2 mos. bill) 1 .9 Guardian Publishing Co. .01 Hughes Drug Co. 2.50 The letter received from the Ch'town Branch of the British & Foreign Bible Society Was taken from the table and read for the second time. On motion the sum of $8.95 was voted to the above Society. Mr. Norman Lowther speaking for the Janitor Committee reported that as yet no decorating had been done to the Social Hall. He asked authority to have the annual scrubbing and cleaning up of the Church attended to now, the cost would not exceed $25.00. On motion the Janitor Committee were empowered to go ahead with this work at once. Mr. Howatt, Chairman of the Property Committee, stated that there was some necessary repairs needed to the Church and Heartz Hall that should be attended to. After some discussion the Board instructed him to get in touch with Mr. Higgs, Sec'y of the Trustee Board, regarding same and report back. The Treasurer reported an overdraft in the Bank at the present of $70.09. Mr. G. A.
