7 The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Stewards of Trinity * ' United Church was held in the Board Room Monday evening, December 12th.

at 7.30 P. M.

f The Chairman, Mr. R.E.Mutch presided and the following thirteen Stewards were present: Messrs. George A. Hughes, Reg. Taylor, Norman Lowther, Hibbert Howatt, Isaac Carter, Gordon Avard, Reuel LePage, Warren Lord, Reg. Bell, Fred Chappell, Alfred Pickard, Dr. Ways and Jack MacNair. The Minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted.

Mr. Lowther of the Janitro Committee reported to the Meeting that the Goblin Cleaning Machine that Mr. Storey had been using on trial for the past month could be procured for $129.00 (best Price), and in order to bring the matter to a head he moved that we purchase this machine. As there was no seconder the motion_was not put. Mr. Chappell“ was of the opinion that there is another Cleaning Machine to be placed on the market in the New Year, and that it would be cheaper than the

above named machine.

Mr. Lowther asked the Board for permission to have Heartz Hall cleaned and scrubbed, to cost $18.00, which was granted. Mr. Carter of the Fuel Committee stated that the coal situation was being attended to.

; Mr. Chappell speaking for the Light Committee reported that the lights ' in front of the Church were out of commission. It was decided that no action would be taken on the matter for the present.

A letter was read from the Island Radio Broadcasting Co. Ltd., Station C.F.C.Y. regarding the matter of Church broadcasting for 1939. On motion the letter was received and placed on file. >
