/ June 12th. 1939. The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Stewards of Trinity United Church was held in the Board Room, Monday evening June 12th. at 7.30 P. M. The Chairman, Mr. R.E.Mutch,presided and the following ten Stewards were present: Messrs. G.A.Hughes, Reg Taylor, Isaac Carter, Will MaoLeod, Gordon Avard, Gordon Hughes, Claude Smith, Wm. Rix, Dr. Ways and Jack MecNair. . The Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and on motion adopted. The following bills, after being certified as correct, were on motion ordered to be paid: Maritime Electric 00., Ltd. 3 22.40 Carter 2 00., Ltd. . l.#0 A.Pickard & 00. 246.55 Patriot Publishing Co. - 4.30 Hughes Drug Co. , . 2.50 The Treasurer reported that after the above named bills were paid there would be a Bank overdraft of $209.15. The following Financial Statement as prepared by the Financial Steward was then read by Mr. G.A.Hughes: - Cash received from Jan 1st.-to June 12/39 Same period‘1938 Decrease Envelopes $2886.11 - $3107.27 Envelopes $221.16 Loose coll. 5Z9.08 - 291.02 Loose coll 11.94 Your Secretary was instructed to write a letter to Mr. Alfred Pickard, a valuable member of this Board who is laid aside with sick- ness at the Queen Hotel, Monoton, N.B., expressing the hope that he would soon be better ebd able to return home. ///‘ The dirty appearance of the stained glass windows at the 'entrance of the Church on the right and left hand sides came up for discussion “ and was referred to the Janitor Conmittee. Mr. Mutch brought up the matter of the desirability of changing our Bank Account from The Bank of 00mmerce to The Royal Bank, it being brought to his attention that Mr. Cruikshanks, the new Manager of the j Royal Bank is a member of The United Church, and that it would be a . nice gesture on our part to make the change. After some discussion it was decided to leave the matter in the hands of the Finance Com- mittee to report on at a later meeting.
