.A A,«, _. ~.._:. \ February 10th. l9hl The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Stewards of Trinity United Church was held in the Board Room Monday evening, February 10th. at 7.30 P. n. The Chairman, Mr. R.E.Mutch, presided and the following large number of Stewards were present: Messrs. W.R.LePage, W.R.Cruikshank, W.P.MacLeod, Claude Smith, Gordon Avard, Harold Heartz, Harry Cudmore, Reg Taylor, E.S.Coffin, Gordon Hughes, Roy Cudmore, V.A.Ainsworth, G.A.Hughes, Frank MacKee, Fred Chappell, Reg Bell, Edwin Johnstone, George Paterson and Jack MacNair. The Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and on motion adopted. In order to dispose of all business for the year l9h0 Mr. W.R.LePage reported to the meeting that an additional $100.00 had been paid to A. Pickard & Co. since our last meeting, and that the $#0.00 voted to Malpeque Road Cemetery for 19h0 did not have to be paid. This let us close our books for the year 1940 with a surplus of $26.80. At this point our Chairman Mr. Mutch presented his report as Chairman of the Committee of Stewards for the 1940 Church Year Book, and in the concluding part of his report said that he could not accept nomination for another Term as Chairman, and extended his best wishes to his successor, and assured him of his loyal support. Mr. Roy Cudmore moved, seconded by Mr. Edwin Johnstone, and supported by Jack MacNair that a most hearty vote of thanks be extended to Mr. Mutch as an act of appreciation of his untiring efforts as a most capable Chairman of this Board over a number of years. The motion was unanimously carried. Mr. Mutch thanked the Meeting for this vote of thanks and said that he did not deserve half of the nice things said of him. Steward Harry Cudmore Our new Chairman, Mr. Claude Smith, at this point thanked the Board for the honor they had conferred upon him and asked everybody for their wholehearted support and co-operation, which he knew he would get. The Chairman appointed Messrs. W.R.LePage, Gordon Avard and Fred Chappell a nominating committee to retire and bring in a slate of standing committees for this year. The following is their report, which on motion was duly carried, and constitutes the Standing Committees for the year 1941: Publicit Chairman J.
