The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Reference was made to the grant of $40.0n usually made to the upkeep of the cemetary on Elm Avenue. M . Hutch stated that the committee appointed by the official board had not made their report yet. he understood that they were advising that our Church should not pay this year s Reporting for the prOperty committee Mr. Mutch said that he had no bills to present. and no definite report to make. Mr. Hunter Architect, had been called in to inspect the foundations of the Church, and also the pillars under the gallery, which are out of line. He would report to the Board at a later date. He was of the Opinion that it mightbe necessary to remove the side galleries in order to remedy the trouble. Hr. Hutch said that any oher defects in the property were only minor ones and would be taken care of at once. The chairman thought that the centre lights, and those under the gallery might be shut off on Sunday morning, during part of the service, and Mr. Ainsworth of the light committee agreed to take this matter up with the janitor, and see that this was preperly attented to. . There was some discussion on the publishing of reports of meetings to be held in the Hearts Hall which were not Trinity Church meetings. It was felt that me had no right to pay for the advertising of such meetings. Mr. Mutch said that a more serious matter was the heating and lighting of Heartz Hall for meetings from which we derive no revenue. Mr. Patterson of the publicity committee agreed to supervise the advertising of all such meetings, with a view 0 eliminating any advertisement for which Trinity was”responsible. Reporting for the fuel committee, Mr. MacKee stated that thirteen loads of coal have been delivered. He has secured prices from Mr. Weeks on Springhill Screened, but found that his prices wee higher than what we were now paying. The paying of the Conference fund of $122.60 due may 15, 1941 was left over to be disposed of at the next meeting. The Treasurer Mr. Lepage reported that after payment of the bills passed at the meeting there would be an overdraft at the bank 0f $155.77. the estimates as prepared by Mr. Cruickshank and the finance committee were then discussed at considerable length. It was pointed out by Mr. LePagB that there would be a considerable saving on the coal bill from the amount of $1100.00 in the estimate. Mr. Mutch warned the Board that there might be considerable expense in connection with repairs to our Church ro ert some of thi e e borne by the trustee board.
