“ TRINITY UNITED CHURCH Board of Stewards April 13, 1942 The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Stewards of Trinity united Church was held in the Social Hall on April 13, 1942, the following were in attendance:- W. R. LePage, G. Claude Smith, G. Hughes, T. Roy Cudmore, E. S. Coffin, Fred Moore, Geo. Richards, W. R. Cruikshank, J. A. MacNait, Henry Douglas, I. A. Livingstone, Reg Taylor, J. G. Paterson, W. P. lacleod, Frank MacKee, R. Bell, Gordon Award, Bussfidl‘Seller, Lebaron Tait and E.C. Johnstone. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and adopted. PROPERTY COMMITTEE-Reporting for the Property Committee mr. HacLeod stated that Er. Hunter had been unable to get the lead necessary to fix the window but that it could be repaired another way and this would be attended to at an early date. JANITGRS CCMMITTEE- Mk. Mbore, reporting for the Janitor's Committee stated His committee recommended cleaning the social hall and floors of the Hearts Hall. The front entrance of the church was also in need of paint. The two cocoa mats were in bad shape and as these soon would be off the market the committee advised purchasing new ones. ' The cost of the regular cleaning of the church would be approximately $100.00 as in previous years. The matter was left in the hands of the Committee to be dealt with and they were asked to bring in an estimate for the painting of the entrance at the next meeting. ' A bill from Pete Small, which (soured in 1940, for galvanized pipe for the parsonage was presented and ordered to be paid. FUEL COMMITTEE— Mr. thKee presented a bill for coal from A. Pickard & 00. for $165.08, this was for a cheaper grade of coal known as Standard coal, $8.00 per ton, and was proving satisfactory at the present time. LIGHT & PUBLICITY CCMMITTEES- There was no one present representing the Eight and Fablicity Committees. WAIS AND MEANS CCMMITTEE- nr. Award reporting for the ways & Means Committee said that a large number of the adherents had been called upon and the con— tributions had been increased about $300., many of the new subscriptions were for small contributions. He urged the members of the Board to use their influence on all occasions in the interests of the church. The Treasurer reported that after 9.11 bills passed at tonights meeting had been paid there would be a credit in the bank of $96.80.
