CHARLOTTETOWN. P. E. ISLAND October 24, 1932.

Trinity United Church, CITY. Attention MrI J, A. MagKgnzig

Dear Sirsi

The Palmer Electric Company has advised me that they have completed their contract of repair work at the United Church, and I have inspected the work and

find that the ground or leakage of current in the Church has been eliminated, and the whole of the wiring made so that the danger of shocks is minimized and fire hazard

greatly reduced.

. The other repairs as noted in their letter of Aug. 4th, have been completed in a satisfactory manner, and in addition fuses of proper capacity have been placed

in the switchboard cabinets.

To make the entire electrical installation as safe as possible I Would make the following recom—

mendations:

1. Both the Church and Memorial Hall should be wired in conduit or armoured cable.

2. The roof space in the church should be made more accessible and the wiring inspected, as according to reports of electricians it is not in very good . condition. '

3. The wiring in the basement of the church at the' outlets on the ceiling should be properly in-

.>(/ sulated from surrounding wood. At present the wires are in contact with the.wooden beams and are dependent entirely upon the fuses to prevent burn- ing in case of a short circuit.

4. An approved switchboard should be installed in the Heartz Memorial Hall to replace the obsolete type of knife switches in present use.

5. The street lightfigg fixtures in front of the Church and Hall should repaired as they are heavily grounded and likely to become alive in wet weather.
