board Stewards, Irinity united church, Charlottetown.

Dear Sir:--

rlease accept our thanks-for your letter oi recent date with in- closure or check for the sum of bu0.00 as a contribution to the urCY Sunday broadcasting maintenance Iund Ior 1928-29.

Iou may be interested in knowing that we have been broadcasting two uhurCh services each Sunday on our high-powered brOadcaSting plant since the Lirst or may, or aproximately sixty services. zhe actual cost 01 doing this afipunts to aproxiuately elb.ou per service without any prorit on the operation. xnis, or course, includes the salary Ol the necessary Operator oi the station, so that up to the end 01 December UECX has run close to seUU.UO expense in broadcasting the

church services alone, while the Maintenance luhu in the same time has

amounted to barely one half or this amount.

under the circumstances you can readily realise that such a service can not be maintained indexinitely at such a loss. rhe answer lies, we believe in each Church encouraging its adherents who listen on the nadio to subscribe the small amount of wl.OO at least per year to the

maintenance of the Sunday broadcasting. it would appear that each churchi

could do this among its own body or listeners to far better advantage
