The first quarterly meeting of the official Board of Trinity United Church, Charlotteyown, was held to-night in the Parlor of . Heartz Memorial Hall, at 8.30 P. M. (F9b~ 25, 1931) 1 I

The meeting Opened with prlayer by Reverend C. N. Brown. On motion E.,T. Riggs was appointed Secretary of the meeting
pro tem. As the minute book was not present the minutes of previous
meeting were not read. 5 - . Dr. J. H. Ayers reported verbally for the M. a M. fund, and
stated that a total of i7301.00 had been forwarded to Headquarter . This report was received and high appreciation was expressed forzé‘
Doctor Ayers for his capable and constant work as Chairman of this committee. The Treasurer also submitted a verbal report that showed
finances were satisfactory.
It was moved by Henry Smith, seconded by D. A. Bruce, and carried, that the present Maintenance & Missionary committee be reappointed with the addition of Roddie Gillis, and that the cammittee
have power to add to its number. The rspresentativeaof Presbytery reported that the sum of $6225.
had been allocated to this Church for the M. a M. fund for 1931, and that the Presbytery fund had been increased to 1 1/81 of
ministers' salaries. On motion the present committed of Ushers and Plate Collectors
were reeappointed. The Music Committee was appointed as follows:

Chas Ross _ H. M. Davisdn Henry Smith The committee hating charge of renting Hall, were mpg reappointed as follows: R. E. Mutch, Chas. Black‘ George Tweedy.
E. T. Higgs Miss McLean on behalf of the Young Peeple's Society,requested
the use of the Eastern Parlor of Hearts Hall It was agreed that this Board had no objections, but the question was allowed to lie on
the table. The following representatives to Presbytery were untappointed for
the year 1931, or until their successors were appointed.

Mr. R. E. Mutch brought up the question of repairs to the Organ which was to cost approximately $4,000 according to the contract approved by the Trustees, and stated the Trustees proposed that the money be raised as follows:
2000 by Trustees from Invested Funds 1000 by Ladies' Aid and other Ladies' Organizations.
31000 by the congregation. On motion, the contract entered into by the Trustees, was
approved and the following committee was appointed to approhch the Ladies in reference to raising the $1000— - . Committee Jas. Paton and J. F. Whear.
It we 3 also moved, seconded and carried that this Board approve of the raising $1000 by the congregatiou, and that the matter be
referred to the Board of Stewards for action. Mr. B. W. LePage brought up the question of disturbance in the
church gallery, on Sunday night, and the question was referred to the
Session. The Central Relief Committee for 1931 were appointed as follows:

The question of the appointment of a Secretary for this Board was discussed, and a committee consisting of G. D. Steele a R. E. Hutch
were appointed to bring in nominations. 3.74
