There are a number of Bruce families in other areas of Prince Edward,
Island and neighbouring provinces in Canada as well as the United
States. We have no proof of any relationship between these Bruce families
and the original George Bruce who settled at Red Point after immigrating
from County Caithness. It is known that a brother did come with him at the time, but his and possible descendants whereabouts is unknown. In the summer of 1998, research and discussion has led to the conjecture that the
Valleyfield Bruce family MAY be related, but there is not conclusive evidence available. Further research must be conducted in this area.
