Pansy died of a brain haemorrhage at her home, recovering from a surgical procedure. Roy lost his life when he was struck by a car at Red Point. He was taken to the Prince Edward Island Hospital for treatment but he never regained consciousness. Considerable time had elapsed between the time of the accident and the finding of his body. Wesley was among the first of the fishermen based at North Lake who started fishing the Giant Bluefin Tuna by rod and reel. This form of fishing became an anchor in the local tourism industry, as well as provided employment within the fishing sector. Wesley was remarried to a widow, Florence (nee Mills) MacLaren. One of her sons, Ray, was married to Caroline Baker (see page 55).
