120. Jerry McCormack, despite suffering from the effects of polio, coached, managed and administrated sport specializing in baseball, softball and wheelchair basketball. Until a few months before his death in 1993, he was a regular columnist and contributor to the Eastern Graphic in Montague. The new baseball park and soccer pitch behind the Arena are named in his memory. 122. Shane MacClure. He has to be considered as one of the most outstanding all-around athletes in the town’s history. MacClure’s record as an athlete and coach has been exceptional. He has run in and completed the Island Marathon. MacClure has won scoring titles and many awards in the Eastern Kings and Souris Rec Hockey Leagues. He played intercollegiate soccer at Acadia University and has won Fair Play awards in the P. E. I. Senior Soccer League. In 1995, MacClure won the low net award in golf at the Brudenell Club Championship. He has skipped a
