One standing rule was moved by Joan Smallman and seconded by Verna Smallman that there will be no charge for school for anyone in the district for one year, but a box will be prominently placed for donations for upkeep. Motion carried. After one year a fee of $10 will be paid by people outside the district for use of the facilities. Anyone using the school must keep it cleaned and leave it the way they found it. All standing rules will be posted in a conspicuous place. The next order of business was the wiring of electricity for the building. It was moved by Empress McDowell and seconded by Etta-Isobel Harris that the school be wired with electricity. Helen Adams reported that having spoken to Alan MacLean the approximate cost would be between $160 and $200. Helen Adams and Silver Dennis also moved that the school be used for a craft centre for the community. People who lived in the community would pay 10% of the cost of the craft and non-community members pay 20% the program fee. The meeting adjourned and a hot cup of tea was had by all before driving home in the storm. 116
