a party for the institute’s 50th anniversary. A lively auction closed the meeting.
Roll call for November opened with 15 members telling of something they bought at the store and something they hadn’t. Cora Smallman was hostess. Treasurer’s report was given and Lillie
Adams and Elva Smallman reported on the recent leadership course.
Mrs. Winburn Harris was hostess at the December Christmas meeting at her home which was decorated so lovely. Empress McDowell reported there was an order for 2 more quilts and she also reported on a recent quilt workshop. It was decided to make the quilts during the winter months. It was also requested that the ladies continue to help out at the rink canteen. Joan Smallman recited the Christmas story and Christmas carols were sung in unison. Greetings were extended to one another and all left for home, with a Merry Christmas to all and a promise to
meet again in the New Year.
