At the May institute meeting in 1993, Betty Sweet, thanked the members for a fruit basket she received during her illness in the winter. Everyone was happy to have Betty back with them
again. The meeting closed with everyone singing Happy Birthday to secretary Lorraine Harris. Marion Luxton and Jean Harris were assigned delegates for the executive meeting for 1994.
It was decided to purchase two white carnations for the Convention Memorial Service for Etta Harris and Elva Smallman. Afterwards, they are to be presented to past president Cora
Smallman, their oldest active member.
However, there were entries in the minutes not recorded in their summary that need to be recognized. Meetings at member’s home continued to be shared the meetings as well at the school. In January it was motioned to make six blankets for Izaak Walton Killam Hospital in Halifax. A video was presented by home economist, Donna Callaghan, on The Isle of Opportunity. In June, Betty Sweet presented a cheque for $5,400 for the Community Pride project. It was moved to give Adam Buchanan the job of fixing the centre’s outside property for the Community Pride intention (a quiet desirable neighbourhood community that looks-after each other and everyone takes great pride in their properties maintaining a friendly atmosphere.)
To everyone’s delight, their hard work was accomplished.
The 65th anniversary of the KWI took place at the Community Centre June 9, 1993. The devotional and Mary Stewart Collect was conducted and the minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Sixteen members and four guests answered roll call with a donation for
seedlings.

gives a positive and detailed descriptions of those two years.
We held 10 meetings during the year with an average attendance of 14 members. Four members had perfect attendance - Helen Adams, Silver Dennis, Orell Smallman and Lorraine Harris. Absent one meeting was Wanda Adams, Joan Smallman and Freda Woodside. Absent two meetings were Isobel Adams, Jean Harris, Marion Luxton, Empress McDowell and Silver Dennis. Four members attended the workshop in Northam using lamp light due to a power outage. Five members attended Area 2 executive meetings. Seven members attended the (Island)
convention at the Loyalist Inn in Summerside, and a good number of members attended the Area
