This conference is more popular in western Canada and they want to promote it in the Atlantic region. During the November meeting, held at the home of Winburn and Isobel Harris, Karen Spensor conducted the devotion with a prayer for the Armed Forces. During the discussion of new business Betty Sweet moved, and seconded by Wanda Adams,that donations be the same as the previous year. The KWI will act as president and secretary for the area convention to be held March 26. Halloween was a success with good attendance from children and adults, fesosted the committee in charge. Hospital convener Betty Sweet reported that a new tractor will be purchased to serve as a lawn mower and snow blower. It will be paid by the hospital auxiliary. Verna Smallman, home economics convener, reported on ways to train our brain by reading, crossword puzzles and using computer mouse with left hand. New business was a discussion on having a Christmas party at the community centre. A committee was formed to plan and coordinate, consisting of Barbara and Susan Smallman, Fairley Yeo, and Isobel Harris.
