Cherry Pineapple Squares
Ingredients: 11/3 cups of flour
2 tbsp. icing sugar 2/3 of cup of butter or margarine
Instructions:
Blend with fork together until crumbly. Press into an 8x8 pan and cook for 25 minutes at 350F.
Cook on stove: 1 can of crushed pineapple with juice % cup of white sugar 3 tbsp. of cornstarch 1/3 cup of juice from 6 ounce of a bottle of cherries Cook until thick and add 4 cup of chopped cherries and cool
Meringue:
Beat 2 egg whites with 4 tsp. of cream of tartar and 4 tbsp. of white sugar until stiff and pour on top of mixture and cook until golden brown.
