_ Regina Yeo, award-winning journalism graduate, is originally from Ontario. She vacationed in i Tignish, P.E.I., as a child where her mother

; ; _ (Dolly Perry) was born and fell in love with the —_Island’s beauty. Finally, in 2000, she got her wish | and moved here. She found fresh opportunity and challenge in Holland College’s Journalism

Program.

In 2003, she graduated that program as winner of the Hartwell Daley Award, and was promptly hired as a reporter with the West

Prince Graphic newspaper.

A victim of the rare autoimmune disease Myasthenia Gravis, she soon had to forego deadlines and winter driving demands of the journalism occupation but

found another niche with the How Bazaar chain.

She has one son, Justin Fisher, who resides in Ontario, and she is married to Larry Yeo, son of Fairley and Alvin Yeo of Knutsford, P.E.I. He is an Islander born and raised, and they live the dream in Darlington, P.E.I. Although Regina is not born

an ‘Islander’, Larry continues to assure her that her papers must be “in the mail.”
