'the Incumbent when the Chapel was built. When they died in 1919 and 1920, their names were inscribed on the paintings. Loving hearts and hands have wrought, tended, prayed, and worshipped there, and the Chapel has since become a memorial to other devout and faithful souls who claimed St. Peter 's as their spiritual home." Mrs. Palmer concluded her article (as only Dorothy could!)-- "The chief exports of Prince Edward Island are potatoes, oysters, and brains. There are supposed to be more brains exported from P.E.I , than from any other province in Canada . As I read this over, I realize that we do not export conceit, we keep this at home!" January 1968 ---- Signed ---- _. ., __. 2 a Dorothy Palmer Mrs. Simpson started the "cent-a-week" program for the Island to help educate . children of missionaries. In late 1984 as St. Peter 's ACW Binney Group (formerly the Evening Branch , but renamed by Archdeacon G.S. Tanton for Bishop Binney) reminisced about the years 1968-1984 -- through the ministries of the Ven. G.S. Tanton (1967-1974), and our present rector, Canon. H.M.D. Westin , under whose spiritual guidance the Cathedral Family has been richly taught and blessed since 1974 -- it was with surprise that we remembered the extent of the ACW activities which found St. Peter 's Anglican Church Women involved in many areas of Worship, Mission, Cathedral Structure, Catering, Life of the Parish Family, and the welcoming of new members from as far away as Australia. To mention briefly some of the highlights of the last fifteen years, many of which resulted from the structural change of W.A . to A.C.W . in 1966, during the ministry of Archdeacon G.S. Tanton . This struc¬ tural change meant that all female members of the Cathedral were automatically members of Anglican Church Women and given a more definite and broader choice of interests. However, one earlier fund-raising project, in the late 1940's, during the Incumbency of Canon E.M. Malone (1921-1952) is worthy of note -- the Marmalade Fund of the Evening Branch , which, through time, made sufficient monies to purchase the carpets for both the Cathedral and All Souls' Chapel. An Anniversary Cookbook, of favourite recipes from the kitchens of ACW members was produced to commemorate the 100th Anniversay of St. Peter 's, and shortly after this Cathedral Plates, Hasti-Notes, and Christmas cards were designed, ordered and quickly found a ready market to parish members, former St. Peterites and friends. In 1970 the ACW spearheaded the congregational commitment, together with the congregation of the Kirk of St. James, in organizing the Pilot Project which resulted in the commencement of the Charlottetown Branch of the Sign of the Fish Movement, enabling this Christian ^Volunteer Ministry to open its Helpline in the Greater Charlottetown area on February 1, 1972. £3)-
