The highlight in the history of St. Stephen's W.A. came in November, 19h9. At the annual meeting of Divisions "A" and "B" of the New London Parish a president and a full slate of officers were elected for St. Stephen‘s thereby raising the status of this group to a full-fledged Auxiliary with its own responsibilities and privileges. These privileges were acknowledged in 1950 when for the first time St. Stephen's was allowed to send their president and two delegates to the annual meeting of the Diocesan Board of the W.A. Since then several members have served on the Diocesan Board including Mrs. W.J. Paynter, Thankoffering Secretary: Mrs. W.J. Harrington, Candidate Secretary: Mrs Keith Harrington, Candidate Secretary: Mrs. Leigh Paynter and Mrs. Ellis Profitt, Vice-presidents; Mrs. Borden Campbell, Social Action Secretary and Mrs Wilfred Wagner, Devotions and Prayer Partner Secretary.

Over the years other worthy projects have received support from St. Stephen's A.C.W. with a keen interest being shown in youth groups such as Little Helpers, Junior Auxiliary, Girls' Auxiliary, and G.A. Links.

It is regrettable that these Youth groups are no longer active locally and our involvement in the Overseas mission field has decreased greatly, however many worthwhile projects are still waiting and a challenge still exists to maintain the interest and support of all Anglican Church Women.
