Girls Auxiliary was organized at St. Thomas' in 1935 under the incumbency of the Reverend Benjamin Fream, with Mrs. Bruce Adams in charge.
St. Thomas' w. A. was organized September 13, 1951, with a membership of 19, with mrs. Bruce Adams as President, Mrs. Horace Meek, vice-President, Mrs. Arnold Meek, Recording Secretary, Mrs.
Isaac Jollimore, Corresponding Secretary, mrs. Millard Meek, Treasurer, Mrs. Joe Harding, Dorcas Secretary, Mrs. John Fletcher, Education Secretary, Miss Mildred Cole, Cent-a-week and Thank Offering Secretary, Mrs. heath Harding, Prayer Partner and Little Helper's Secretary.
The Reverend Robert Coupland was Rector of the Parish at that time.
As a group, many projects were carried out. Gifts were presented to the Church Organist's at Christmas time, supported a needy family in.the Church, the bible Society, Maritime Home for Girls, the T.B. League, Church Camp, march of Dimes, Easter Seals, boot and Blanket Fund, Alexandra Society, the coal Fund etc. Bales were sent to missions and Christmas Stockings were made and filled for Refugees overseas. G. A. Rings were presented to girls, Layettes were made and much.knitting was done for save the Children. Vestments were purchased
for the Church Servers.
