HOLM, Basil Colin (b. 1907, d.1982) was born in DeSable and is the son of Ernest Holm and Priscilla Green. Basil married Evelyn Maud ,.

Sherren (b. 1904 in Crapaud) who is the daughter of the late David

and Laura Sherren. Evelyn and Basil were married in 1926 in

Crapaud.

Basil and Evelyn had a family of six children: Berton, Earl,

Helen Mildred, Hazel Shirley, Douglas Colin (d), Allison Stewart, 0 and Beryl Edith.

Basil's siblings: Gordon, David, Elvira, Elizabeth and Edith. . Evelyn's siblings: Earl, Smith, Lester, Stewart, George ;

Douglas, Eva, Celia, Mary, Amy, Lillian, Lucilla, and Marion.

Basil operated Holm's Mill situated near Holm's Pond. The house ‘

they resided in was moved after the mill was sold. This house

‘ Basil and Evelyn also operated the Blue Goose Restaurant for

approximately three years.
