For Christmas 1990 the Sunday School members produced and presented the video, "Two Stars Are Born", under the direction of Jim Campbell and Charlotte Maynard. Gifts of fruit and candy were given to each child while the congregation was treated to home-made fudge, courtesy of St. James’ A.C.W. S.S. was held at home of Mr Thos Adams Rev Mr Bamford presided - meeting was opened by prayer - Minutes of last meeting were read and adopted - Secretary’s report was also read & adopted Secretary’s report showed that the average attendance in school was 21 The Grand total 1087 - The class collections were $38.33 - And there was a collection of $10.00 on Ch’s Sunday Treas then read his report which showed total collection to be 56.76 balance from last year $38.94 total receipts for year $95.70 amount paid out 53.53 balance on hand $42.27 It was moved by Walter Newcombe seconded by Mrs Birch that report be accepted carried. Bamford discussed very fully the various funds of the church & the means employed to raise money for these schemes - There was a general discussion concerning the matter of church cleaning - Walter Newcombe moved that $16.86 be paid to See & Synod fund 2nd by Miss Daisy Adams carried - Librarian gave a verbal report of library - He has the old complaint to report - Books were taken out of library & not returned Mr. Bamford spoke words of appreciation of the work of all the officers of the school Officers were re-elected. Miss Lucy Birch was appointed assistant librarian as Miss Blanch Livingstone our former assistant had gone to Ch’Town On Motion of Mr. Walter Newcombe 2nd by Miss Daisy Adams a standing vote of thanks was tendered to the Superintendent Mrs Adams & daughters served luncheon & a vote of thanks was tendered them for their hospitality & kindness. 33
