On November 1, 1967, members assembled for the fifty-third and final annual meeting of St. James’ Women’s Auxiliary and for the first annual meeting of St. James’ Anglican Church Women (A.C.W.). A few months earlier the name had been changed by the W.A. Constitution, the intention being to give all women a role in the life of the church. Today meetings of St. James’ Anglican Church Women continue to uphold the initial purpose which is "to unite women in a fellowship of worship, study and offering which will deepen and strengthen their own

spiritual lives, and will lead them into Christian service in parish, community, diocese, nation
