The following year, kneeling benches were put in place, and a new organ was acquired to replace the old one. A generous donation in 1902 was that of a beautiful white spotted marble font, a gift of Mrs. John Richards. Another gift, a silver communion set with a box to hold it, was donated by Captain William Richards. A significant monetary gift in the year 1931, a $500. bond, was donated in memory of Miss Myrtle Williams by her family.

St.John’s was equipped with a gasoline lighting system in 1924. It was not until Christmas Day in 1952 that the present-day electric lights were turned on.
