THE RECTORY BARN

Having been hired to build the present rectory, Mr. Percy Tanton of Summerside was also contracted to build a barn. Upon completion, the new building was described by a

parishioner (name unavailable):

The barn is ideal, twenty by thirty feet with large shed on the back and set on concrete foundation. The interior contains three stalls in stable and pump to supply water. The carriage room is large enough to drive in, turn carriage and drive out. Part of the shed is to store carriages out of season and the other part partitioned off for poultry. The second floor is laid with matched flooring; a ventilator on roof; complete eave finish, comer-casing and base board and received two coats of paint from saddle board to concrete.

Today the rectory barn is used mainly for storage.
