I came to the Parish on September the 8th and from that time until the end of the year, a period of about four months, my statistical records show the following things have been done. I have participated in 67 services, 41 of which were on Sundays and 26 on week days, preached 46 times, administered the Holy Communion 18 times, have been at Sunday School 6 times, attended 35 meetings and delivered 3 addresses, baptised 28 persons, officiated at one wedding, made 308 pastoral visits and buried two persons. Have been twice to S. W. Lot 16 and three times to the Line Road endeavouring to keep in touch with our people at these places. At the Line Road I have held two services in the School House; these services were well attended and I found the people not only responsive but apparently anxious to have the service of the Church. All our Church organizations are in flourishing condition. At Lot 11 a branch of the W. A. has been organized and at Port Hill a Young Peoples Association. The financial statement re the D. C. S. will be found in another section of this year book. As this is my first report of the kind, may I be pardoned if I add one word concerning the Church Organizations and officers in the Parish? It is in appreciation of the work they have been doing. Their work, enthusiasm and interest have been not only sources of pleasure but also encouragement to me, as I have tried to do my work with them and for the Master. My prayer is, that through the coming year and all the years God’s Holy Spirit may guide and direct us all as we work together for him, in that part of this Vineyard, in which he has been pleased to place us. 71
