For the convenience of those who lived a distance from the church and had transportation difficulties, Rev. Coleman introduced "Cottage Prayer Meetings". In Lot 16 people gathered at the home of William Cameron. Prayer meetings were also held at various homes "back" of the Western Road. Attendance at

these evening prayer services was very high.

It was with great sorrow that Rev. Coleman accepted a call to the Parish of Westfield, New Brunswick. He felt that since it was the second request from its parishioners that God was guiding him there.

Rev. H.R. Coleman advised of his strong attachment to the Parish of Port Hill in his final

report to the Diocesan Church Society:

It was with feelings of deep regret that Mrs. Coleman and myself bade farewell to our "Island" friends and parishioners. We resigned our work in Port Hill to take over duties in the parish of Westfield, N.B., and it is from that rectory that

these lines are penned. I greatly appreciate this opportunity of expressing our thanks to all our Island friends for their many kindnesses to us since first we met.

We may find parishes where we shall be as happy, but we never expect to find people among whom we shall be happier than we were with our dear people of the parish of Port Hill and throughout the Island.

May we conclude with the prayer that all may be blessed with health and strength to give many more years of true service in the cause of Christ and His Church.
