Henry Havelock Crosman (sp. various) was a descendant of Benjamin and Zipporah Crossman who moved to P.E.l. from Westmoreland, New Brunswick, in the 1790s. The family had American origins, and were, perhaps, United Empire Loyalists. Benjamin's son, Benjamin, married Ann Cannon and lived in Lot 17, Prince County. One of their sons, Henry Edmond, 1 828-1 908, a cooper, married Mary MacQuarrie (1830-1910) of Lot 25. Their family included, among others, Henry Havelock and Hannah McCoubrey, of Summerside. Mary Ellen McGilvray (sp. various) was the daughter of James MacGilvray of Princetown, RBI. and his wife Sarah Riley of Baltic, Lot 18. Henry Havelock, who settled in Southport, P.E.l. was a well-known Charlottetown interior decorator.
