July 1975, I represented the PEIWI at a dinner given in honour of Governor-General Jules Leger and Madam Leger and was presented to this very gracious vice-regal couple.
July 23, 1975 - I attended ceremonies to create a Unified Family Court in P.E.I., the first totally integrated Family Court in Canada.
1975 International Women’s Year. Central Theme — Equality, Development and Peace.
September 2, 1975 — First Provincial Board Meeting to be held outside Charlottetown was held at the Souris Regional Service Centre.
October 6, 1975 - The P.E.I. Women’s Institute Program with Helen Herring was heard for the first time over Radio Station CJRW, Sum-
merside.
December 3-4, 1975 - A special F.W.I.C. Board meeting was called in Ottawa specifically to study By-Laws. Recommended changes included - that F.W.I.C. executive consist of Past-President, President, President- President-Elect and seven vice-presidents so that each province will be represented by one member on the Executive.
