QUILTING WORKSHOPS In 1975 three quilting workshops were held under the leadership of Mrs. Louise Marchbank and Mrs. Beatrice Reeves. During the summer of 1977, a summer student, Miss. Bette Tweedy, developed a format for quilting workshop. As a result of this and keen interest of many mem- bers a total of twelve workshops have been held in many different areas across the Island under the Cultural Convenership with Mrs. Joan Perrin and Mrs. Shirley Moase as the instructors. In November 1978, a similar workshop was held at Confederation Centre for more advanced quilters with Mr. Scott Robson from Nova Scotia Museum as instructor.
