1970 when the supply of “Home Recipes” cook books was becoming depleted the provincial board decided to print a new cook book. A committee of Evelyn Machon, Helen Herring and Leone Ross was named

to work on this project.

Once again the membership was solicited to submit recipes which were thoroughly tested and then compiled into the “Popular Recipes” Cook book.

This book’s cover was designed by Henry Purdy, Charlottetown, and had a Blue and White Plastic coated cover with a blue ringbinder.

Due to the demand for this cook book two re-prints were made making a total of approximately 13,000 copies having been sold at the

price of $2.00 per copy.

. In 1977 again the Provincial Board decided to print a cook book. This time its philosophy being - to illustrate and promote good nutrition and energy conservation as much as possible.

A committee of Louise Marchbank, Kathie Anderson and Mary Palmer were named to compile the book. This committee worked closely with the provincial president, Mary MacLean and Home Economist
