Miss Hazel B. McCain, Superintendent of Women’s Ilstitutes in Quebec, gave a thoughtful and timely address on Adult Ecucation.

Mrs. Fairbanks read an address on the Carnegie Library prepared by Miss Bateson who was unable to be present wing to a Library Conference being held on this date.

The meeting adjourned.

ENTERTAINMENT

During its visit to “the Island” the Board of the Federated Women’s Institutes of Canada was extended most gracious and war- mest hospitality on the part of Miss Elizabeth MacMilliar, Superin- tendent, and the Executive and members of Women’s Imtitutes in Prince Edward Island. Everything was done to make the delegates’ visit a most memorable one.

On Monday evening, June 24th, the Executive of he Prince Edward Island Women’s Institutes entertained the visitors a dinner in the Canadian National Hotel.

After dinner Miss MacMillan, who presided, introduced the members of her executive in a bright witty speech.

Following this the F.W.I.C. members introduced ezch other, causing much merriment and good feeling.

Mrs. Peake expressed the thanks of the F.W.I.C. Board to the Prince Edward Island Women’s Institute Executive for the very delightful evening. Mrs. Petch seconded Mrs. Peake’s remarks.

Mrs. Walker took the chair and called on Mrs. Cohoe tt show the Peace Garden slides. Comments by Mrs. Cohoe on these sliles added interest.

Mrs. Walker thanked Mr. RR. Hurst who so kindly displayed the slides.

The formal report on the Peace Garden was read by Mrs. Caohoe. The meeting adjourned after singing the National Anthen_

On Wednesday afternoon the F.W.I.C. delegates togeher with those of the Island convention were guests of Lieutenant Governor DeBlois and Mrs. DeBlois, at a reception at Government Home,

This was greatly appreciated by all the delegates whowere en— thralled by the beautiful view of the harbour with its shipsriding at anchor as seen from the verandah of this stately colonial home.

On Thursday evening the Government of Prince Edwa'd Island entertained the joint convention at dinner in the Canadian National Hotel at which Premier MacMillan presided.
