On this occasion favours took the form of a beautiful rose for every delegate which was much appreciated.

The evening was made most delightful by addresses by Lieutenant Governor DeBlois, Premier MacMillan and Mrs. A.E. Walker.

On Friday morning cars were provided by the Prince Edward Island Women’s Institutes and the Board members were taken for a drive around the Island through the famous “Anne of Green Gables” country.

At Cavendish Beach the Avonlea Women’s Institute entertained at a “fish and potato” lunch at the summer resort operated by Mrs. Allan

Wyand.

After lunch the party was driven to the south side of the Island where the members enjoyed seeing beautiful paintings, pottery and rugs, the work of Mary Doull, at her studio at Cape Traverse. Many were the expressions of pleasure as these lovely articles were examined.

From here the delegates drove to the home of Mrs. Gordon MacMillan at Cornwall, where the Cornwall and York Point Women’s Institutes served tea. The beautiful lawns and gardens surrounding Mrs. MacMillan’s home were most delightful and the visitors were most profuse in their exclamations of delight.

During this day’s trip many very fine friendships were formed between members of the P.E.l. Women’s Institutes and members of the F.W.I.C. Board which are sure to bring about better understanding between the various provinces and our beautiful Dominion of Canada.
