P.E.I. DAY
Wednesday, June 23rd, was P.E.I. Day, a day for the delegates to relax from business and enjoy the hospitality of the host province. The weather co-operated with the planners and twelve tour buses took 535 delegates to see our Island at its best. Each bus had a tour planned which would take them to their lunch destination and at the same time see Green Gables and Woodleigh Replicas on their travels. Some buses had to drive more miles to accomplish this but we were able to spread our visitors around the Island.
The compliments and praise we received made it all worthwhile. Our bus hostesses and hosting Women’s Institute Branches were wonderful ambassadors for P.E.I. Listed below are those responsible for the success of the day.

The evening entertainment was a special performance of Anne of Green Gables at Confederation Centre. All who attended, delegates and local Women’s Institute members, were thrilled with this beautiful story so well performed, a perfect ending to a wonderful day.
