Chisholm bedroom suite (above and below): Owned by Nancy Thomson MacFadyen, the bed has the traditional Chisholm high headboard and lower footboard. Both dis- play aJapanese influenced decoration of asymetrically placed incised bands and flowers, with an applied roundel on the head board center. The crest rail and the ap— plied pieces flanking the top drawer of the dresser and washstand both sport the characteristically carved Chisholm stalk and leaf design. Note the gentle convex bev- elled molding on the vertical side supports and the incised horizontal lines on the drawer fronts giving the impression of shiplap siding. Hazel Robinson collection.
