Lord , took over the business and sold gro¬ ceries, hardware, oil, gas, and coal to his cus¬ tomers. His store was destroyed by fire 2 Nov. 1931, and he relocated to Albany. Michael Delaney was also a general mer¬ chant in the commu¬ nity. He started his business by going door to door buying eggs and selling small arti¬ cles. Later he built a store on his property, now owned by Martha Thomas Perry , where he sold groceries, hard¬ ware, oil, and hides.
