Rink One night in November a party of four Were discussing a problem in Heath Chisholm 's store. Concerning the trouble and hardships, I think, Of getting their families to Wood Brothers ' rink. Says Heath, "Boys, listen, for I've got a scheme And a rink of our own can be more than a dream. For we'll form a company and build a rink That will make Wood Brothers sit up and think. For the Wood Brothers rink is a mile down the road, And for money to build one, I'll carry the load." Archie Thomson spoke up, " 'Tis a wonderful plan And as secretary-treasurer, I'll do what I can." Alfred Cairns then added "I'll join it you bet And for taking me on you will never regret." Says Alfred Keough , "I'll join, and the company won't fail. We'll drink to its health with dry ginger ale." 116
