Rev. George Killen and his wife, Martha Manson, ministered in North Tryon for four years. Rev. Killen is remembered for his complete devotion to God. The community was shocked with Rev. Killen’s sudden death while he was participating in the 1964 Centennial Ecu- menical Service being held in the Crapaud Skating rinkg
Rev. Sterling Stackhouse and Mrs. Stackhouse followed Rev. Killen. They were in North Tryon for a year. They were tragically killed in a highway accident in the eastern part of the province after leaving the community.
Rev. George Tannahill and his wife ministered for one year before they moved to Nova Scotia. Rev. Tannahill found employment in Amherst where his daughter could attend a school for deaf children. The Tannahill’s are both deceased.11
Rev. Donald Nicholson and his wife, Sadie MacPherson, moved to the North Tryon Presbyterian manse in 1967. Rev. Nicholson, an Islander, spent five years ministering to this congregation. Rev. Nichol- son is retired but still active in church work in 1992. He lives in Clyge
