Alexander Alfred b. 13 Nov 1922, son of Thomas Dawson and Mae Duncan, m. 19 Sept 1947 Lillian Louise Sherren, b. 24 July 1928, daughter of George David Sherren and Pearl Lois Cann.

When Alex returned from World War II, he bought a house from Arthur Dawson and had it moved to three acres of land he purchased from Russell Thomson. This house had been built by James Edward Dawson. Alex was manager of the Borden Liquor Store and retired in Nov 1977. Lillian was a member of the North Tryon Women’s Institute. She is a seamstress and designed and sewed many of the costumes that made local children winners at the fancy dress carnivals held each winter in the local arenas.
