and his father carried on a successful farm- ing operation. Later he was engaged exten- sively in the silver fox industry and oper- ated a large and suc- cessful fox ranch for many years.
He was always ready to help in any good cause and as- sisted many young people in obtaining an education. In 1975 he and his wife established the T. Hazel Robinson. sonic Scholarship 0r- ganization to provide annual scholarships to Masons, and sons and daughters of Masons in Prince Edward Island, thus helping many young people to continue their higher education.
In 1976 he further expressed his love for Masonry and his interest in the welfare of handicapped persons by makinga generous donation to the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation of Canada. He was a faithful member of the Free Church of Scotland at Cape Traverse, PEI, and for many years was superin- tendent of the Sunday School, of which he was also a teacher. Left to cherish his memory are three neices, two nephews, and a host of friends.
A member of the True Brothers Lodge at Crapaud, he was a Past Grand Master of Masons in Prince Edward Island, a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, an Honorary Inspector General 33 of the Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite, and a Royal Arch Mason, and a member of Prince Edward Chapter No. 12 at Kensington, PEI.
A largely attended funeral service conducted by the Grand Lodge of Prince Edward Island was held at his late residence on Nov. 29, the oration being given by Post Grand Master Albert E. Lavers, a highly esteemed friend of the late Mr. Dawson.
The funeral service was held on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at his home and was conducted by Rev. john MacLeod of the Free Church of Scotland, assisted by Rev. Colin Alston of the North Tryon Presbyterian Church. The Scripture readings were selections chosen by Mr. Dawson: Ecclesiastes: Chapter 12, verses I to 7; Micah: Chapter 6, versus 1 to 8; and Psalm 46. The Psalms sung were "The Lord’s My Shepherd” and “Unto the Hills ”.
Honorary pallbearers were the Past Grand Masters of Prince Edward Island together with a number of Scottish Rite brethren from Halifax. Active pallbear-
