Myron Ray b. 12 Apr 1930, son of Rex Dawson and Florence Matheson, m. 6 June 1951 Helen Ruth MacKay, b. 23 Nov 1930, daughter of David Ellery MacKay and Robina Cameron, New Arman.

Myron farmed with his father and when Rex died in 1957, Myron and Helen bought the farm from Myron’s mother. Their son, Ray, erected a roadside stand in 1961 where he sold potatoes and turnips to earn pocket money. It was a unique business because it operated on an honor system. His mother continued the business after Ray’s death in 1963 until his sisters, first Margo and Sherri, and then Kisten and Barbi, took over the stand.

Myron Dawson and Helen MacKay had 5 children:

Margaret Irene b. 11 Aug 1932, daughter of Rex Dawson and Florence Matheson, m. John Paton, b. 20 Sept 1920.

Margaret and John lived in Montreal where John worked

for Bell Canada. They now re- side in Linkletter where they are

retired.
